Learn to Play The Beatles - Play Dear Prudence by the Beatles for Piano
The Beatles song Dear Prudence was written by John Lennon when the Beatles were in India visiting Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. The song was reportedly about Mia Farrow's sister Prudence, who for the majority of the time she was there with the Beatles remained in her room. The song was the 2nd track on the Beatles album referred to as
The White Album
, which was released in November 1968. At the time of the recording Ringo Starr had walked out on the band and the drums for this track were played by Paul McCartney. The majority of this song is based around a D major chord, with bass notes running down from D to A. It is fairly easy to play although, like a lot of Beatles songs it has a unique Beatles feel about it.
