The Beatles song blackbird was written and recorded by Paul McCartney. John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr did not play on the recording. The only other sound other than the guitar and Paul's vocal is a tapping sound, which has been identified as McCartney's foot tapping. The song first appeared on the Beatles The White Album album released in 1965 and is the 3rd track on the 2nd side.
Blackbird is not too difficult to play as it follows a similar pattern all through the song and only has a few chords. This is an adaption of the song for piano as the original song only features an acoustic guitar.
