The Beatles song Get Back was written by Paul McCartney. The song was the final track on the Beatles album Let It Be , which was released in 8 May 1970. The single version had been released over a year earlier on 11 April 1969. This song was written when the Beatles were jamming for their upcoming album/film called Get Back/Let it Be(the later became the eventual title). Originally, there was a 3rd verse, but that was dropped and only the first 2 remained. This song saw John Lennon play lead guitar and George Harrison play rhythm guitar, also featured and named(the only time on a Beatles album) is Billy Preston, who played keyboards.
